February Already! IWSG

IWSG WEBSITE
Welcome to February! The weather can't make up its mind and neither can I. There is so much to think of these days and my dreams have been crazy. I guess I must be working out a great deal of stress in them, because I awake each morning wondering where the latest dream has come from.
When you don't know where "home" will be in five months, that can add a bit of stress to everyday life. The good thing is my hubby will no longer be a student! When he graduates in May, we will be free to find a new home. Just where that home might be is, as I said, in the air somewhere. Feels like my writing at the moment. In the air... I hope all of you are enjoying the new year and that writing or whatever art you make is enhancing your life with joy and accomplishment. I hope to hone in to my art/writing and finish this you-know-what book!!! Keeping this short this month...

PLEASE VISIT AND THANK
THE WONDERFUL CO-HOSTS FOR FEBRUARY:

Question of the Month: Has a singe photo or work of art ever inspired a story? What was it and did you finish it?
Photos were used in a writing workshop I went to once, and the one I chose inspired a flash fiction story. It was fun and I did finish it. I'd love to have someone publish it one day...

  1. Hi Lisa - your 'new' life will be so rewarding ... with Richard free to pursue something study related. Choices - always interesting ... and each change can bring ideas to the fore ... good luck with everything - cheers Hilary

  2. Don't stress the future. You can't control it.
I like the one with Dwight. He's right!

  3. Congratulations. I hope your new adventure inspires more books. Pearl and I loved Evangeline and your Seventh Man book. We're anxious to read more.

  6. Uncertainty is tough. Just cling to what you know is certain and it will all come together.

  7. Hi,
Not knowing where you will be living in the next five or six months can be stressful, but you have come so far, just taking a day at a time. Continue doing it. I try my best to narrow down the times when I want something to happen, for example, like hearing from a publisher, to just one day at a time. I make myself exist with the uncertainty and continue to move forward.
    Wishing you all the best.

  8. A lot is up in the air with me, too. Pay attention to your dreams, though. Our stresses can influence them. I often look up meanings of things in my dreams in dream books or online. You could also get story ideas from those crazy dreams. I do all the time. :)

  9. I hope your flash fiction story is published one day. :) Do you think you would do that again - where you write based on a pictorial prompt? Or was it not for you?

Good luck on your home search! And to your hubby as he gets closer to graduation!

    With Love,
    Mandy

  11. I too hope you decide to stay in Ohio. That way, there will be a few chances to meet up again. Bearing in mind your quotes above, get editing/writing/publishing. Ask Boney to help.

  12. I have had the weirdest dreams lately, too. Must be something in the air. lol You certainly have enough stress in your life. With that uncertainty, it's easy to understand your anxiety. I hope you can block it out for a little bit each day so you can finish that book.
