|One of the welcome signs to the beach|
Daytona Beach is one of those enviable places that offers, literally something for everyone. Okay, it’s a toss-up as to which are more popular, Bike Week, Nascar/Daytona 500 or the beaches, but those aren’t the only things you’ll find to do. Savor and drool over these activities;
Check out the Boardwalk & Pier, or the multitude of Historical Sites & Ruins, Museums & Galleries; rent a bike so you can take one or more of the scenic rides. The “Loop” is a favorite among bikers. This place is motorcycle heaven. And I haven’t even gotten to golf or the spas or the restaurants!

Inland parks are not in short supply and neither are the BEACHES!
Some you can drive on, some are pedestrian only. The best part of driving on the beach (besides the view) is the timing. Like when it isn’t crowded, or when the sun is rising, or when you’re with a bunch of friends with the windows down, or on a motorcycle, or if in a van, the side door is locked open and you just cruise. Speed limit is a safe 10 miles an hour and makes for a nice “slide” show.
The Daytona International Speedway is worth seeing even if there are no races going on. I couldn’t believe how BIG it was. We took a tour and it was fantastic!
