Yee Ha! The day has arrived when we, those of us who are
revealing our theme for the A to Z Blogging Challenge, announce to the world
what our subject will be every day (Sundays excepted) in April. Last year my theme was “What I Love About
France” and going with the travel theme, I decided to write about another place
close to my heart (though you might not think it as exotic as France until
after you read the upcoming posts), one I don’t think a lot of people “dream”
about as a destination for adventure. But you might find—if you read my blog
this April—that this destination has more to offer than you ever dreamed of. I
will post things I love about this place, and things I can do without, but all
will be informative and FUN to read. Come on, trust me.

Without further ado, I introduce to you the
northern environs of the “Sunshine”
state, Florida. North Florida is a completely different animal from the regions
below Orlando. I won’t write about Disney or manmade water/amusement parks. I
will write about history, wildlife, mysteries, funny and sad stories,
motorcycles, fresh water springs, old plantation ruins, race cars, ancient
trees, beaches and restaurants. Hopefully, by the end of April, you will come
away with a perspective of North Florida that will have you planning your next
vacation itinerary…
