A to Z Blogging Challenge - Cassadaga "Psychic Center of the World"

http://www.a-to-zchallenge.com/

For those of you who love a good mystery, ghost story, or have ever had your palm read, Cassadaga, Florida, "The Psychic Center of the World,” is a place you must explore. I went there once when I was a teenager, and that time didn’t see what all the fuss was about. But since then I’ve learned that Cassadaga, now known as a spiritual destination, was founded by George P. Colby from New York, and that he was “guided” to the land that is present day Cassadaga to found the Cassadaga Spiritualist Camp, which is now a U.S. Historic District. It is a regular little sleepy town, with a twist!
This story starts in 1875

The Sunflower holds special meaning...
The name "Cassadaga" comes from a Seneca Indian word meaning “Water beneath the rocks.”

Take your pick!

The Cassadaga Hotel houses a ghost!
The majority of inhabitants are mediums or psychics, and the hotel even has a ghost named Arthur. There is a walking tour service, Daniel’s Orb Tour (386-228-2880), through the town.
The principles of spirituality that are taught by the people at Cassadaga state, "Spiritualism has no dogma or creed, just a simple set of nine principles to help guide our lives". According to the teachings of Spiritualism, it is the "Science, philosophy, and religion based upon the principle of continuous life."

“As the sunflower turns its face to the light of the sun,
so Spiritualism turns the face of humanity to the light of truth.”
