Participating today in the "Listing Fest" Blog Hop designed by Bish Denham! Check out some of the other lists posted on this blog hop and maybe you'll get some good ideas or maybe just some good laughs! Not everyone thinks in terms of work like me, thank goodness!
Makin' a list and checking it a million times.
For a writer, living without lists means no managing of time.
Well, then again, everyone makes lists of things not to forget.
What about making a list of things you like, or want to do, or books you've read, or, or, or, see, the list goes on!
Here is one writer's list.
Finish merging two copies of same WIP (work in progress) by end of October. Yep. My bad. Hate accidents like this.
Add new scenes discovered recently in my brain to said WIP and get working on final drafts.
Start work on cover with cover artist.
Run through "finished" mss (manuscript) before Christmas.
Talk with marketing guru (Carrie Butler) about pre-launch publicity.
Send copies out to beta readers in January.
Get copies back, make changes, send out to editor in February.
Get revised copy back. Make revisions in March.
Send final copy to publisher in April.
Shoot for May publishing date.
I think this is enough, especially because this is only my writing list. This doesn't include my "real life" list of everything to be done in between my writing listings...
Wish me luck...and endurance!
Thanks for listing with me, Lisa! Your list sounds hauntingly familiar. And each one of the items could have several things listed under it! GAK!ReplyDelete
Lists, lists and more lists. Hope you work to this list OK. About the only list I make these days is a shopping list.ReplyDelete
That sounds about right. Plus the million other little detail stuff like copyrights and ISBNs.ReplyDelete
Merging two copies? That sounds like a nightmare.ReplyDelete
Thanks for participating in the blog hop.
That list sounds like a lot of work to me! Best of luck getting it all done.ReplyDelete
I have a list just like this. ;)ReplyDelete
I have a similar list on my writing desk. I keep adding things.ReplyDelete
I don't wish you luck, I wish you great and overwhelming success!ReplyDelete
For me I wish I could spout off a list similar to yours.

Tossing It Out
Item #1 -- so painful! I hate when that happens.ReplyDelete
I've had to do #1 before. I hate accidents like that, too.ReplyDelete
And I constantly have to deal with #2. I wish my brain could get its act together. :)
Best of luck to you!!
Wow! You are organized. I do everything (writing and real life) seat of the pants. Maybe that's why I never seem to get anything done. I could certainly learn something here.,ReplyDelete
Love the graphic, best of luck with all the projects.ReplyDelete
Juneta Writer's Gambit
I always have a lot of lists; just never can remember what I did with them.ReplyDelete
Good luck! I am a list maker like you. I have a writing list, a work list, a real life list, a books to read list, etc. The lists go on! Good luck getting everything done. :)ReplyDelete
Wishing you all kinds of luck and much endurance!ReplyDelete
Love lists, can't live without them! LOL
Much luck and endurance to you! Makes me wonder if I should be more organized about my writing.ReplyDelete
Lots of strength for this list (and the RealLife(TM)-list you didn't post) from a fellow sufferer.ReplyDelete
I love lists, but I love crossing something off a list more. :-)ReplyDelete
Anna from Elements of Writing
If only "finishing the book" were the hardest part, eh? ;) Good luck with the edits and revisions, and much success with the book once it's out!ReplyDelete
Guilie @ Quiet Laughter
That sounds like an interesting list of lists that will lead to much productivity!ReplyDelete
No listing lists are identical, but they are all similar to some degree. It's important, though, I think, to actually put the list together. It's part of the process. I wish you the best with this project and hope you get to check off all your items in a timely manner.ReplyDelete
Lots to do! All the best with getting everything done. :-)ReplyDelete
I've been so busy (JOB CHANGE, BOTB, LISTING HOP all happening close together) that I'm only now making it over here. I profusely apologize for my lateness.ReplyDelete
A "List Of Lists". Ha! I like that.
I'm not a writer, but if I made a practical list like you did, mine would look something like this:
Go to store and buy beer.
Go home and drink beer.
Stumble back to store and buy more beer.
Stumble home and drink beer. And so on and so forth...
Thanks for visiting my site during the bloghop, and again I apologize that I couldn't get here sooner.
May You Bless And Be Blessed!
