A to Z L'Isle-Adam (Island of Adam)

A to Z Challenge Here
L’Isle-Adam
The “Island of Adam” isn’t far from Paris and is loved by many Parisians for a close, fun place to visit in the summer months. We have friends who live in L’Isle-Adam, situated in the Val-d’Oise (north of Paris), on the weekend and work in Paris during the week. Lots of people do this as it gives them a way to make their living and live the life they love at the same time.
The beach!

L’Isle-Adam is a lovely town with rich history, beautiful architecture, and a beach! It's pool was inaugurated by Johnny Weissmuller (of Tarzan Fame). It’s built upon three islands and has lovely riverside walks and parks.

When I’ve gone, I’ve spent the time with our friends and so haven’t seen as much of the town as I’d like to. Maybe in the future?

Our friend’s place borders the Forêt de L'Isle-Adam, and so they never have to worry about back door neighbors.

    1. It is, and so beautiful I can understand why they'd like to think of themselves as the Pearl!

  2. WOW! What a stunningly beautiful place. The top photo, of the path in the forest reminds me of my favourite trail, in Port Moody BC. They could be twins :) Thank you for stirring up the memory.
